PAGS Virtual Show June 2020.

In the light of cancellation of the Annual Show we do not want your beloved plants to go to waste having stopped them for June show season. For some fun and to keep our interest sparked we are to hold a Virtual Pelargonium Show.

The Virtual show is to be held on the PAGS Members Facebook Page Link to Page*

Members should post a short video of each plant entered of no more than 15 seconds. Videos should preferably be in landscape format (if using a phone hold it horizontally) and preferably shot at a resolution of at least 720p and preferably 1080p. Videos should provide an all-around view of the plant in a relatively close-up position so that the judges can clearly see the plant in detail

(an example will be provided on the page).

Classes (open to all members)

Each class is for one plant only.

Maximum two entries per class per member.

Any number of classes can be entered.

Pot sizes indicated are the maximum size for the class and smaller pot sizes can be entered with the plant being judged for its balance in the pot.

1.   Miniature Zonal (excl Stellars).   Max 9cm pot

Entries can be uploaded from 00.01 Thursday 11th June until 23.49 Sunday 14th June 2020.

There is no pre-registration of entries required.

No entries will be accepted prior to or after these dates – any made will be deleted.

Entries should detail:

a. The class being entered

b. The plant name i.e. the cultivar

c. The pot size the plant is in.

Your post will obviously include your own details so there is no need to enter these again. Any post being made within the above times and includes a video and the above details will be deemed to be an entry (this is not to exclude you posting other items on the page).

As well as the Class placings there will be an overall award for the best deemed exhibit.

*The Facebook PAGS members page is a closed group and members will need to register themselves to join the group to confirm their PAGS membership – it is worth it as members use it like a virtual forum to get hints and tips on growing, post pictures / videos and be able to ask advice on plant problems they may have. So give yourself plenty of time to receive confirmation of acceptance prior to entering the show.

Best of Luck. David Taylor. PAGS Show Secretary.
